Gallery Orchestra x Other Futures Big Band
In March 2023, Gallery Orchestra took-over the Hannah Playhouse with their friends the Other Future Big Band for the New Zealand Fringe Festival.
Over two sold out shows, Gallery Orchestra and OFBB presented new music and arrangements by local composers including Louisa Williamson, Dave Wilson, Callum Allardice, and Daniel Hayles. Local singer-songwriters Wallace Gollan and Zoe Moon featured as special guests performing original songs like Every Stroke and I like the rain.
Gallery Orchestra x OFBB were honoured to receive four award nominations and win Best in Music for this project - which you can see captured below by videographer Taylor Nixon.

Huia and the Magpie EP
Huia and Magpie was recorded in December 2023 at the Stella Marris Studio, following a Gallery Orchestra commission for a concert in August 2023.
The EP features original music by Tāmira Pūoro (Ruby Solly and Michelle Velvin), arrangements by Seth Boy and the following musicians: Alex Trask (flute), Leah Thomas (clarinet), Hamish Goodhue (percussion), Mana Waiariki (violin), Hijiri Yamamoto (violin), Tal Amoore (viola), Ella Dowsett Farmer (viola), Emily Patterson (cello), Alex Hoare (cello), Simon Eastwood (double bass).
